Thanks to its strong regional anchoring and its organizational resilience, the agency has managed to federate the entire
port community around common goals. It endeavors for the creation of a competitive port environment, favoring fair and
sustainable development, featuring healthy competition, efficiency, transparency, and good governance, and ensuring safe
and quality services.

The Agency’s main missions are:
• Developing, maintaining and modernising ports.
• Optimizing the use of the port equipment through
the improvement of the ports’ competitiveness and
the simplification of procedures and organization and
operating modes.
• Ensuring the respect of free Competition in conducting
port activities.
• Managing authorizations and concessions.
• Monitoring the enforcement of the provisions of Law
no. 15-02 and the enacting articles thereof.
• Ensuring compliance with port safety, exploitation and
management applicable measures.

Strategic priorities:
• To maintain the achievement of major port projects.
• To preserve the port’s heritage.
• To contribute to the implementation of the national
logistics competitiveness strategy. • To regulate port activities and operators.
• To improve the port sector competitiveness.
• To simplify and facilitate port transit procedures.
• To maintain the implementation of the port reform • To ensure the presence of police and security and to
subject to the Law no. 15-02. protect the environment within the port area.
